Township Assistance
The township trustee assists residents living in the township that are having trouble meeting their basic needs. Basic needs are shelter, utilities, and food.
To apply for assistance, you can contact the Trustee’s office at 317-758-1029. If your utilities are due to be disconnected within 24 hours, you will need to let us know this at the time of your intake. A Trustee has 72 hours to act on your request for aid.
If you would like to apply, call the office and set up a meeting to fill out an application. All adults in the household must sign the application in front of an employee of the township. We have also provided you with a check list of items we will need to determine your need for assistance.
